Network Like a Introvert

Ok, I get it starting a conversation sometimes with people you do not know can be hard. This is what I hear from most introverts when it comes to networking. An introvert is a shy, reticent person. Basically, someone who is quiet or reserved. I am a firm believer that networking is important for your business growth, a lot of positive relationships and collaborations come from networking. According to eight five percent of corporate positions are filed through networking, ninety-five of professionals consider face to face communication vital for long term business. Here are four networking hacks that will help introverts with networking.

Network Using Social Media

With us living in interesting times with COVID-19 networking has also changed as well. There are little to no physical events going on to decrease the spread of the virus. With that being said most of everything that we did in person we are no doing online such as networking events, conferences, workshops etc. Social media is a great way to connect with people that you don’t know but would like to meet, reconnect with people that you haven’t be in contact with in a while. The best part about using social media for networking as an introvert is you don’t need to have a face-to-face conversation, Commenting on your connections status or sharing a post goes a long way and can be the most influential way to get a conversation started. As always you want to have a plan when networking so do your homework before you start.
